About H2T3 Tours, LLC

Hand Held Trips to Thailand (H2T3) arose from one man’s desire to share his experience in Thailand with friends and family.

Lee PorterThe company’s manager, owner and guide, Lee Porter, grew up in Durango, Colorado. He has attended colleges and universities in Colorado, Missouri and Thailand, and has a Master of Science degree from Columbia University in New York. Lee is a retired librarian and has worked in and managed a number of libraries for the US Army. He speaks both Thai and Laotian languages.

Adoptive FamilyDuring his service as a Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand (1965-1967), Lee was adopted by a Thai family and treated as a son, but he soon lost touch with the family following his return to the States. After thirty years, Lee reconnected with the family. His Thai father, now in his eighties, made a deal with Lee that he would live another twenty years as long as Lee returned to visit at least once a year.

Because of his enthusiasm for the country and affection for the people, Lee’s friends and family began to join him when he went to Thailand. As more people accompanied him, Lee found ways to organize tours for them and save them some money in the process. Temple of DawnAs a result, more people wanted to go. Lee founded Hand Held Trips to Thailand in 2007, and he has already seen amazing growth and traveler satisfaction, resulting in significant repeat business.

Hand Held Trips to Thailand strives to make great tours available and affordable for the typical American who may have never traveled overseas. Where other Thailand tours limit themselves to a select few destination spots, Hand Held Trips to Thailand offers several standard tour packages to take travelers off the beaten path and give them a once in a lifetime experience. The small group tours provide all the benefits of group travel with the added bonus of flexibility.

Lee Porter developed this business to share his Thailand with others, and once you see Thailand with Hand Held Trips to Thailand, you will want to share your Thailand, too.
